$35,000 Theft Reported by Johnston Business: Johnston Police Blotter

June 12

A resident in the 5900 block of Northwest 106th Street reported someone had broken out two of his vehicle windows with a brick.

An employee of 2 Sons Electric, 5536 N.W. Beaver Drive, reported someone stole about $35,000 worth of wiring from their building. Police said four pallets of wiring worth $32,000 were taken, along with $3,000 worth of copper wiring, possibly in spools. 

Workers at Loving Arms Children's Center and Preschool reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Officials with Youth Homes of Mid America, 7085 N.W. Beaver Drive, reported a 12-year-old boy who lives at the facility threw a milk crate at a staff member's vehicle and smashed the windshield. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.
