Have More Trash Than Cart Space?

Do you ever find yourself with more trash than your garbage cart can hold? Do you have a piece of furniture or other large item to get rid of? When this happens, most garbage haulers use the Large Item ($5) and Extra Trash ($1) stickers to help you dispose of things at your curb. Even appliances can be scheduled for curbside collection and are then recycled.

Which Stickers Do You Need?
Most of the communities in the Metro area participate in an Extra Trash & Large Item sticker program. Determine which stickers you need to buy based on which community you live in. Stickers are sold at the customer service department of many local grocery stores and some city halls. The cost of the sticker pays for the cost of collection.

How Many Stickers?
The number of stickers required for disposal varies based on size or weight of the item. of items commonly disposed of through this program or you can call your garbage hauler if you don’t see an item listed.
