Iowa State Fair Announces New Foods for 2013

A bacon-wrapped riblet on-a-stick and a shrimp corndog are just one of many deliciously sinful new foods on this year's Iowa State Fair menu.

Break out the Tums, central Iowa. The new foods at the Iowa State Fair will be worth every last one you take.

Iowa State Fair officials announced the foods that will make a debut at this year's fair, according to the Des Moines Register. It's a list that is sure to please the most discriminating fair food lover out there.

How about a bacon-wrapped riblet on-a-stick? This will be available at the Bud Tent, according to the fair's website. It's a pork riblet wrapped in bacon, hickory smoked, and then basted with barbeque sauce.

Or for those of you with a sweet tooth, how about a fried brownie on a stick? These will be available at Fyfe Concessions.

Other new foods include:

Shrimp Corndog
Smoothie On-a-Stick
Soft Salted Chocolate-Dipped Almond Pretzel On-a-Stick
Coconut Mountain On-a-Stick
Sweet Corn Corndog
Rib Shack Cowboy

This year's state fair will be held Aug. 8-18 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.
