USA Today Ranks Johnston in Top 20 in Iowa High School Football
Where do the Johnston Dragons stand as they get ready to start the football season Aug. 30 against Des Moines Lincoln?
The Johnston Dragons look strong in football this year, according to the USA Today Sports Super 25 rankings, while defending state football champs Ankeny start off the year as the No. 1 team in Iowa.
USA Today has rankings for all 50 states.
MaxPreps ranks the Dragons No. 29 in Iowa. Johnston made it to the second round of the state playoffs last season. This year's season opens Aug. 30 at home against Des Moines Lincoln.
