PHOTOS: Dragons Fall to Top-Seeded Ankeny at State Tournament
The Dragons played in the first round of the state tournament on Wednesday.
The Johnston Dragons volleyball team's journey at the Class 5A girls' state volleyball ended today.
The Dragons were defeated by the Ankeny Hawkettes 25-18, 25-23, 25-18 at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
Top performers included Taylor Joens with 11 kills and Abby Hallman with 13 assists.

The Hawkettes move on to the semifinals to be played at noon Friday. They will play the winner of the Dowling Catholic/Iowa City High School matchup.
