Johnston School Board Gets 2 Newcomers, Re-elects 1 Incumbent
There were three school board seats open in Tuesday's election.
Newcomers Brad Ortmeier and Mark Toebben were elected uncontested to the Johnston school board Tuesday, and incumbent Marci Coraro was re-elected.
Current school board members John Dutcher and Julie Walter, whose term is expiring, decided not to seek re-election.
Both of two public measures, which renewed property tax support for Des Moines Area Community College, also passed.
