Drunk Driving and Possession of a Controlled Substance: Johnston Police Blotter

Aug. 30:

Officers found a broken in window at Northwest Beaver Development, 5820 NW Beaver Drive. The owner of the business was contacted and came to the location. The owner reported approximately $1550 worth of items stolen.

Aug. 31:

Alexander Michael Lopez, 18, of Saylor township, arrested at Merle Hay Road and North Glenn Drive and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A traffic stop on NW Beaver Drive in Webster township led to the arrest of Stephen Wayne Scheneman, 38, of Urbandale, on an outstanding warrant.

Sept. 1:

Officers responded to a call in reference to domestic assault. Caller advised people in her front yard on 55th Avenue, yelling, but she does not know them. Victim assaulted by her boyfriend but refused to give further information and was transported to hospital.

Seth Wesley Freml, 23, of Des Moines, was arrested at the 5000 block of Merle Hay Road in Webster township and charged with operating while intoxicated.

Sept. 2:

Marques Adam Smith, 29, of Sioux Falls, S.D., arrested on an outstanding warrant. Also charged for driving suspended, no insurance and improper rear lamps.
