The sweet ladies in this shop will treat you well and do an amazing job for a fair price. I see lots of brides everytime I go in this place, so it must be an amazing place to get your wedding dress done.

I went on my first experience with a simple job - black pants, sew up the pockets, take in the waist, regular hem. Fantastic execution - not too long and not too short and somehow miraculously able to wear with flats and high heels with neither looking awkward!

My next challenge was a bridesmaid's dress. A long apple green number that was ordered by Bridals by Lori (ugh, more on that later), about five sizes too big, I not only needed it hemmed but basically needed it altered to five sizes smaller. I was worried. I sweated it out and worried it wouldn't be done right without looking terrible upon its return. To my amazement, my dress looked perfect, I tried it on and it....was still too big. I went back the next day and explained that it was too big, and even needed it by the NEXT DAY so I could drive to Johnston and do my wedding duties. "No problem" she replied and when I came back the next day the dress fit like a glove and was steamed so that all I had to do was throw it in the back of my car and head off to the wedding. Now that's service!!

They will also hem your jeans the correct way, by keeping your original distressed hem and reattaching it, and are experts at taking in the waists of too large pants.

You can find this shop in the Johnston shopping center right across from Hyvee. I go out of my way to take my things here and I think you should too.
