Cornerstone Commons Features Senior Living in Johnston
Find out more about the newest senior living facility in Johnston.
What some may have called an eyesore a year ago is turning into a new housing community along Merle Hay Road in Johnston.
Over the past several months, construction at has transformed the area between Northwest 63rd Place and Northwest 64th Place.
The three-story, 62-unit senior citizen apartment building is expected to open in early 2013.

The facility will feature 33 one-bedroom units, and 29 two-bedroom units for a price ranging from $659 to $950 per month.
Amenities include underground and surface parking, community room with kitchen, washer and dryer in each unit, internet cafe and library, exercise room and beauty shop, and controlled access entry system.

Cornerstone Commons will be managed by Oakbrook Corporation.
The Johnston City Council approved the final development agreement between the city, Cornerstone Commons LLC and Silverstone Partners Inc. in December.
