Johnston Police Blotter: Drug Charges, Trespass Charges

The Johnston Police Department responded to several calls from Dec. 16 to Dec. 21. Here is the final roundup.

Dec. 21
Zach Smith, 20, was arrested for assault while displaying a weapon, a hammer, in the 6000 block of Meadow Crest Drive. No injuries were reported.

A 17-year-old female was charged with allowing her dog to run at large in the 4800 block of Northwest 62nd Avenue.

Dec. 20
Officers responded to Chapel Ridge Apartments to arrest Hezekiah Smith and a 17-year-old juvenile for trespass and criminal mischief in a vacant apartment.

A 32-year-old woman reported receiving harassing text messages from a 32-year-old man in the 6800 block of Lewis Carroll Court.

A mother reported her teenage daughter as a runaway in the 4800 block of Rose Circle. The teen returned home on her own.

Penny Hammer, 44, was arrested in the 6600 block of Northwest 54th Court on an outstanding warrant from Osage, Iowa.

A 74-year-old man reported that someone had placed tires on the side of hisrental building in the 5200 block of Merle Hay Road.

Dec. 19
reported medicine stolen from a locked box in a locked cabinet in the school.

Pamela Gibbs, 55, was arrested at for drug possession, operating while intoxicated, possession of contraband in a correctional facility and interference with official acts.

Dec. 16
Steven Lepeltak, 25, was charged with domestic assault in the 6000 block of Greendale Circle.
